Hi Russ, My brother rented a boat from Mark Carroll at C&C Charters in TC last month. He only rented it for a day but thought the boat was nice. Have fun!

They call it Disappearing Island although it is only sand at the Ponce Inlet.

Sorry folks, just back from a tough weekend on the beach.
No music gigs planned any time soon, maybe a CFBM will pop up in a few months.
Disappearing Island is a tidal flat just inside Ponce Inlet (between New Smyrna and Daytona). The flat uncovers at low tide, there is a deep canal on its west side, you work down the canal until you find an open spot, then back your boat in and set up camp. We've seen as many as a thousand people there on a busy weekend. Great fun. Our friends Abaco Peach and Jerry S, as well as Abaco Skippy and Wendy have enjoyed the island with us.
But, at high tide, it "disappears," so you either leave, or walk around in 12-18" of water.

We have a spot so similar to that in NJ. It is at the end of Island Beach State Park and across the inlet is the Barnegat lighthouse and when high tide comes you can not sometimes see the little island. We have also been there when we anchored in and than the tide went out and we were grounded having to get a bunch of guys to push off! Great fun!
