Looks like we've chosen Lubbers Quarters. Assuming we'll be on the boat everyday, where does one get ice for the boat cooler? Is there any place on Lubbers to get ice, or will we need to go to Elbow Cay each day? Thanks.....

Hi, We stayed on Lubbers (Green Bananas) last March for 10 days. Fortunately for us, there were at least a dozen ice trays there, so every day we would fill them up and when they were frozen we'd put the cubes in zip lock bags and refill the trays. That way we had plenty of ice.

I'd check with the rental to see if they have enough ice trays. If not bring some from home. They nest and shouldn't take up much space. And don't forget the zip lock bags. They come in handy for a lot of things.

Hope this helps and have a great time!

It's a quick run over to Seaspray, they have ice by the bag, fuel, bottled water, and other things you might need. Great people as well.

We found that freezing bottles of drinking water works better than cubes.

I'm not exactly sure, but Sea Spray in on Elbow near Hope Town, maybe the closest for ice and all the fixings. That's why some locals recommend saving the empty water bottles and jugs and refilling them, to be frozen in the freezer section of the refrigerator. It's a great way to recycle old plastic, the ice actually lasts longer than chipped or small cubes, and when melted you have some water in case of emergency. Save the cubes for the rum thangs! :D

Not unless you count the ice in your drink at Cracker P's
