Does anyone have any experience with a rental house on Lubbers called Beach Lubbers? If you do, please send me a private email.
We are planning our first trip to the Abacos in May 2007, and I just want to say how helpful this board and Dr. Ralph's website have been. Having access to this kind of info certanly helps in assuring that you get the most enjoyment out of your vacation. Thank you all.......

Beach Lubbers is a very nice cottage, clean and well run. You will have a great time on Lubbers!

Watched them build it. Looks very nice. Location is directly nextdoor to public dock, but that dock is rather quiet. Lubbers is wonderful- our favorite cay.

Chuck,
We stayed at Beach Lubbers at the beginning of July 2006. The house is cozy, clean, quiet and just plain delightful. You will not be disappointed.
We also loved the location of Lubbers Quarters - it seemed to be a short boat ride from everything we wanted to see.
Make sure that you stop by Cracker P's (the only restaurant on Lubbers). Just thinking about their food makes me hungry - the mac & cheese is the best I've ever had.
Have a wonderful time!

It will be here before you know it, but be forwarned....
Once your trip has concluded, and you are back home...
you won't be able to get Abaco out of your senses....the color of the water, the beaches, and then you start planning your next trip back.
Can't be helped.
You are going to love it!

Hey there's Patti it's me Sam from SPI. Ever get your whale shark pictures? Funny, the little Coastal Currents paper ran a full page of some diver's pictures of a big one right off the coast here.
Am still trying to get over to MOW area sometime this X-Mas vacation time. Which mreminds me, it's passport time again! Best,
Sam

Hi Sam!! Yes - I did. And, the guys made it to Gulfport/Biloxi this weekend and are having a blast.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction regarding the pictures. Mont sent them right away.
Also, our friends just back from SPI, but his wife is miffed at him because they passed a stand that had avacados - 10 for a $1.00, and he would not stop. That would have made a lot of great guacamole!
Thanks again,
Patti

Ooooh, I love my guacamole.
Question for you locals and regulars: do they have any avacodos in the Abaco stores?
/Sam
p.s., good to hear from you Pat!
SamfamAustin,
This time of year you should be able to find avacodo "pears" about anywhere - even out of pickups along the road.

I've had some experience dealing with DIF (Dreaded Island Fever) after returning from four trips to the British Virgin Islands, and I look forward to pining away for the Abacos upon my return from there. Half the fun of going is planning the next trip.

Yes, you can buy Avocados in the grocery stores. This year my tree is full of avocados. Do you have a really great avocado dip to share?
I have a good recipe for stuffing Avocado with crabmeat. Stuffed with lobster would also work. Let me know if you want it.
