guana cay to tahiti beach

may sound like a stupid question, but since I've never done it, I'll ask. I would like to take our rental boat from dolphin beach resort in guana cay to tahiti beach. Is that something that would be easy to do?

as long as weather is okay, it is easy line of sight boat ride.
30-40 minutes depending on speed.

Just proceed along the shoreline of Guana and Scotland Cays. When you pass Scotland you should see the lighthouse on Elbow. Bear to the right of the lighthouse and when you get close enough look for the opening behind the land mass of Elbow. Follow the "channel" and when Lubbers is on your starboard side look for Tahiti on the port side. Of course you could also use the compass along with any chart of the area ;)

My suggestion would be to plan the trip for an early morning departure from Guana on a day that has low tide during the mid morning, travel via the route outline above to Tahiti Beach (low tide has more of the beach exposed, high tide may find a little beach and lots of shallow water), play on the beach for a while, go to the "fish hotel" behind Tilloo and snorkel for a bit, run across the channel to Cracker P's for lunch, then snorkel Fowl Cay north bouys on the afternoon trip back to Guana. Makes for an early to rise, early to bed kind of day but lots of stuff to do and see.

This is a beautiful trip- make a day of it. We usually pack a cooler with lunch, beverages, etc., and are ready for anything. Takes around 30-40 minutes, as previously mentioned. Tahiti is beautiful, and so is Tilloo on the area south of the castle but north of Pelican cays. Have fun!
