Presenting the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker (http://www.margaritaville.com/news_fcm.php). If you're like us, you go through a blender every 3-4 years. You go down to Wal-Mart, you buy that Oster blender that's on sale for $34.95, you throw away the manual that tells you specifically not to put ice cubes in the blender jar, and you happily build your frozen drinks until, a couple of years later, you make a nice batch of 'Rita's, you turn it on, it runs for a few seconds, then you smell that "electrical smell," you see a spark or two, the blender dies, and you put "new blender" on your Wal-Mart list.
Well, Mr. Buffett has come up with an industrial-strength, heavy duty, last-a-lifetime blender (see illustrations below). First you pour your ice into the "ice hopper" that is located on top of the blender. There is a heavy duty stainless steel blade that shaves the ice as three stout paddles stir the ice in the chamber, and it drops into the blender jar. But wait, it doesn't happen just yet! Before you fire up the blender, you fill the jar with your mix. We use 4 oz Cuervo Gold, 2 oz Triple Sec, and 4 oz of Margaritaville mix.

Next, you rotate the start button to "Ready," you set the level dial to "3," and you hit the auto "Shave 'n Blend" button. The shaver dumps shaved ice into the blender jar for about 10 seconds, then the blender automatically starts to stir the ice and the drink mix. While it's working, you can moisten the top of your glasses with a piece of lime, and then coat the glass with salt.

When it's all ready, the blender stops automatically, you pour the mix into your glasses, and you're ready for a great Margarita. It's the perfect way to start off naked pool-thirty:D .

I have been walking past one of those sitting by the check out at the ABC Liquors down the street for a few months now. Been very tempted to make the purchase. It is such a cool piece and appears to be really sturdy. It is bigger in person than it is in your pics. I think the $300. price tag has kept me from it. I now have blender envy.

I will say it is pretty darn cool! I think it is worth $300.00!

Our local ABC here in Ormond-by-the-Sea received several of them about three months ago. Bunny bought the last one after I had oggled and petted it ad nauseum. Just Google "Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker," you can buy it at several on line locations.
Check out the liquor dispenser at Super Sidebar (http://www.supersidebar.com/). We have one on the boat as well.
And Pat astutely picked up the original "Coconut Pirate" from Nippers, a gift from Johnny Roberts to us.

I think we should let cooler heads prevail! ;)
Now on the blender, I'm thinking about the Margaritaville deal although the gas engine blender does seem to have some off-road potential, like exploring the hidden spots in the cays. Something seems quite manly about pulling the ripcord and blasting up a batch for 15 seconds ... the motorcycle grip handles might have something to do with it.
