Today, most of the men and women who go out to fish will be leaving. Please keep all of them in your thoughts and prayers. Think of and pray for thier Families at home. Prayers for harvest, Safty, and Blessing.
Best of luck to all those who are going out tomorrow. Be safe, be ethical, and have fun.

I'd love to see some pictures of opening day, with the mother ships and all the dinghies. I pray for a good season for the fishermen and their families. Be careful, bruddahs and sistahs. Amen.

You guys be careful Craig and you know we're praying for you. Tell Cindy to try not to drag you and Buddy too far off the traps and shelfs, and bring "Bottom Time" back full to the gills!
Dad
Good luck guys! Our local fishermen left today. God speed!

God speed and good fishing. Our mini season was slow this year, not sure they have moved yet.

Slow as in crawfish? Certainly not crawfisherman? When I lived there, mini season was crazy! Not enough boats to go around! One guy actaully mounted a dinghy motor on a big piece of styrofoam & went out !

Slow as in crawfish. Crawfishermen were every where! What key did you live on?

I lived in Tavernier, close to Harry Harris Park. I had a boat rental company with outlets from Key West to Ocean Reef so I got to know most of the keys and the local bars. (Not that I drank a lot-Just looking for absent employees!!)

When I left, my kids (4- all boys) were ages 5 thru 12. The ethinic migration from Miami to the keys at that time made the schools in our area less than ideal. That, combined with better economic opportunities in Wisconsin, caused the move. Really missed the Keys, at least the way they were in the late 70's. That is why we now go to the Abacos.:)
The LD out of Cherokee which also carries some of the boys from Great Guana Cay has returned from her first trip.
They had a good 1st trip, and are heading back out this morning.
