I am planning my trip to White Sound, Elbow Cay and wanted to know some boat running times (we're getting nothing bigger than a 20' boat.) How long is it from White Sound to:
-Tilloo Cay?
-Pelican Cays?
-Sugar Loaf Cay?
-Treasure Cay?
-Matt Lowe's?
-MOW?
Thanks!

Buy a Dodge guide the 2007 is available and has all that included plus all the info you will need when you get to the Abacos

Babe, take a look at How Rough is the Sea of Abaco (http://www.drralph.net/How_Rough.html); the weather can greatly affect your running times. And Daze is right, you definitely need a Dodge; also check out Advice to Novice and Rental Boaters (http://www.drralph.net/AdvicetonoviceandRentalBoaters.html).
Tilloo Cay, Sugarloaf, and Matt Lowe's are relatively short runs in reasonable weather, 15 minutes or so; MOW is just a little farther. The Pelicans are 20-30 minutes. Treasure Cay is another story: you're out in the open for a long stretch, and the wind can really affect your running time, especially if you encounter a stiff SE on the way home. TC is roughly 20 nm from White Sound, I would allow at least an hour, and on the wrong day, it can be 2.

DrRalph-
This is very helpful...thanks!
By the way, what is Sugar Loaf Cay like? i.e. is it inhabited? What are the shorelines/beaches like? etc.
By the way, I have attached a few pics from my first trip to the Bahamas - Guana Cay. I loved it. I can't enough of the out islands! I want to be like you and Bunny!!:)
