$2.00 each, cleaned, at the government dock. You have to be there when the guys are cleaning them.

Gotta love a place where a conch costs half as much as a Kalik!

Just in case anybody needed an excuse to make a trip south :)

I payed $20 a pound for conch in Chicago, but that was when it was bitter cold and I was trying to convince my I was still in the Bahamas. It was really hard going from 20 days of perfect sun and 70 degrees over Christmas to -30 bellow wind chills and ice. I guess I cant complain, I dont live in the absolute coldest part of the USA.

I am in the Exumas!

Tomorrow, hopefully, I will post some pics from 5F day... First Friday in February at Farmers Festival. It's a combo of homecoming for the natives who used to live here and a regatta for the cruising sailors. As I understand, lots of fried local food is consumed.

I will keep you posted.
