Hmm, posted over there and it took about 4.5 days to get booted again. I was trying so hard to be a gentleman, too. If there is a "disappearing factor" over here I guarantee these folks on this here forum are straight up and they don't do that. It could be a technical thang they need to know about. That says a lot for the nice folks running this board. I'd trust them, friend.

Separately, anybody know how to best help the poor and needy people of the Abacos? It is Christmas time and the holiday season, after all. As they say in Texas, "You have to dance with the people that brung ya."

Well you could contribute to churches, to ECC, to The Wild Horses, to the elderly (via Sybil's House, Dundas Town) to any ministry, to dolphins and whales, to Urban Renewal (NOT what you think, here it is disaster prevention) or The Department of Social Services...anyone here would be happy to help, and yes that includes me, just let me know who you are looking to help, and I will either get the address or you could trust me to hand deliver anything that you send made out to the charity to my address...

I just thought of how that entry may sound to people who don't know me or know Abaco...here's the deal, contact me on PM and I will be happy to get you in touch with various deserving charities here anytime. Be aware that several are actually 5013C eligible, thereby making donations US tax deductable

I'd ask my folks but they are travelling abroad ... they loved going to the local churches in the MOW area. I'm thinking wire transfer if that would work. Thx, /Sam

I don't think that there ever was a more civic minded person than you Pattie! All the best to you, and of course Sam, and all other like minded people....especially at this time of year. My best to you all.

Pattie / Tolerance - will PM you have been busy with work, town committees, and family. And don't feel strange, I know the Abacos just a wee bit to know when to trust folks.

I must say I wish I was rich but we do help out in small ways and in small amounts, so this is no big deal. I'm just a common person, really (maybe a little nutty but nice).

But maybe this Forum could point folks to places that help the needs people. I'd put that in a list below like emergency numbers and such.

Bless you all!
Sam
