...though today could bring better results. The moon and tides will be in favor for you. Last weekend the reports were dismal....a bunch of Mexican wahoo...Everything is here...ya just gotta put your vessel over them.
You know the spots.
Good luck,

...too nice out there yesterday to troll. We did very well bottom fishing, though...patience, my Cappy tells me...patience...and it paid off. The wind is up a bit today so this weekend should be killa...Full moon yesterday...got the tide change in the morning...winds out of the SE about 10 knots...everything one could ask...we'll see ya out there.

RS knows the stuff.
we've pulled em a couple of times this week. just getting a short break here and there for me and sonny boy to run out. (4 girls 2 guys)
didn't see much for flyers. moon and cooler temps havent helped ( hey its early april) anyway next week and weeks thereafter should be improving.
did here some guys earlier in the week loaded the boat with dolpin. they found a rip bout 12 miles out. I dont tend to wander that far in my small boat. In short had a great week. wrapping it up here this evening down at harbours edge in hopetown. having a cold beverage and filing a flight plan for the return trip tomorrow. yall catch em' ! we managed some cudas and jack.
more to come later when I get back. still got some Abaco-in to do!
ps to Agars Wish. saw your boat today at the marina in HT. then saw your post later. best wishes..

GT,
Is the new runway at Marsh Harbour open yet? Have a good flight home.

We pulled two days on either side of the full moon. Water was a bit 'dirty' and we ran our typical route from cut to the north / east. No luck. We spoke to a couple of fellas supplying Mahi to Pete's (now that was cool, we pulled the boat up as they were cleaning - put our order in and practically picked our fish....super sweet) and they said they had to work hard at about 13 miles out. We talked to another boat that pulled through the stream on the way over - caught a couple of tuna - but had no luck once across. So, good luck - it will get better.

There is "the drop" and then there is the way-way out. There is a HUGE current eddy that feeds the Gulf Stream to the east of the Abaco. These currents change very quickly and seem to come and go, unless the Gulf Stream on the inside. I don't have very accurate satellite imagery for fishing, but that warm/cold temperature break with a nice rip should be somewhere between the drop and 50 miles out, sometimes much further. If you look at the satellites for temperature, current velocity, and sea height these good spots will become very obvious how to fish the closest wall of the current. That's where the big pelagics will probably be located.
Good luck and tight lines.
