Photos, Big Squid Question!

I was hunting for all the pictures from the contest and ... well, where did they go? That was a simply wonderful collecton (and thanks to AbacoForum).

Now as to big squid, I was wondering if you got any. I was out on a head-boat here in Texas last July and they said the squid bait was caught off the Gulf Stream somewhere - the tail on its head was like over 12 inches across! The eyeballs were the size of ping-pong balls! Some say the royal red shrimp trawlers bring them in sometimes, maybe.

Anyway, any big squid pictures or stories would be great. Heck, a little cuttlefish would do in a pinch, as I'm hungry. Best to you all,

Maybe you saw the news item recently where a large squid was caught off of Japan, on a fishing line. It was over 12 feet I believe, and they said it was a young one. If you go on youtube, I think you'll find the video.

I found a piece of what I believe was a giant squid off Tilloo. The tentacle was about a 6 inch diameter, and the "suckers" were about the size of a quarter.
