hello all - I have been lurking here for a while and thought it was time I intruduced myself. I have been on the "other" board for awhile and quite happy with it but stumbled on this one and love it too.
Dr Ralph - you are the ANSWER MAN!!!!!! Love your knowledge as well as your "get real" attitude.

Anyway, My husband and I and 4 friends from High School(A lonnnnggggg time ago) are headed down for our very first ever visit in April. We are beyond excited and I have scoured the boards for info and advice and I am sure it has been a great investment of my time.

I am working hard on our grocery list and have gotten lots of ideas from you Abacomiacs. Please let me know if you have any more suggestions.

We are flying into Marsh Harbour then have a big boat chartered and plans to go North then South in the SofA and take in the sights. Have Nippers and Pete in the middle of our trip - SUn and Mon - so that leaves us flexible. Any recommendations? Aiming for Manjack for snorkeling and Tahiti Beach for obvious reasons.

Thanks
Becky

When will you arrive and depart Abaco in April? We'll be on MOW from 4/7-4/21. Maybe we can all get together for a Board Meeting. Are you staying on the boat?

We will be there 4/11-4/18.
We are staying the first night at Conch Inn then onboard after that.
I'll have to look at my map again but I sure we can connect at some point. We are tentatively planning GTC, Manjack, Guana, Treasure, Little Harbour. So we will be moving around alot.
We can swap info and we'll look you up when we get there!

BahamaBec, Lat and Deby (Charlottecouple) are 2 of the nicest people you could meet! We had the pleasure 2 years ago. We saw them on at least 2 different cays.
Lat, wish you guys were going to be there a little longer...

Thanks Patti. Wish we were going to be there when you are this year, too.

Becky, try to put in a few hours at Man-O-War Cay one day, too. It's worth a day visit on the way to Hope Town or Lubbers Quarters. We'll post again before we leave, and try to coordinate schedules to meet others who will be in the area then.

I've heard tell the same about you! Do you still do the double fisted thing of H2O in one hand, and red wine in the other? :p
Wish we could meet at the CBM this year....
Thanks for planning that again. One of these days....

Yes he did, Patti, and the main reason we were out as late as we were is because his car was blocking ours! Ain't no night owls on Man-O-War!

Seriously, we had a great time with Parrott and Bob & Brenda. Ken's voice was in fine form at T-Bones Karaoke Night. You should have heard him do Bridge Over Troubled Water and a great duet on You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'.

Ok, I can tell I am going to meet some kindred souls. I have a picture on my fridge - my husband and I at a block party. Guess what - I can hold my water glass and my red wine glass IN ONE HAND !!!!!!
No, I can't drink out of them that way but we thought the pic was a hoot! WHo knew there are others out there!
Charlotte Couple -- when it gets closer - we'll swap info and plan a board meeting!

you MUST have 6 fingers! The WORST spill in the world is a red wine spill so I always use TWO hands. Beside that, I simply want to keep the nectar of the gods to myself.......back in the good 'ol days of Guana Seaside bar, on more than one occasion, they have run completely out whilst I wuz around.......imagine that......Ken

Ken's other method of preventing spills is just to get a whole BOTTLE of wine, rather than risk dropping a glass. I asked him if he wanted a straw for the bottle, and he just looked at me funny.
