My goodness, I guess paybacks are ... hey those are beautful looking lobster tails there! So, I have heard that some folks have a secret recipe for the BBQ with those. Do you split down the middle of the tail and douse with butter, lime, and spices or what? OK, R, I mean CR, I'm grovelling and drooling man! That just ain't fair ... LOL, thanks for the pic :)
p.s. in Maine similar lobsters would be $20 a pop at a restaurant!

Pat, have you heard anything more about the proposed changes in the fishing regs for foreigners?
Dr. Ralph, proposed changes have been submitted to the cabinet for approval. According to the Aug. 1 Abaconian, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Hon. Leslie Miller, was hoping they could be enacted by August 1 but that didn't happen. It is still being quoted as proposed changes will place the FISH limits at "20 pounds per boat" instead of "20 pounds per person". Reduced limits for conch and crawfish are also expected. Mr. Miller also stated that the open crawfish season next year will be reduced to six months from the present eight months. It will open a month later on Sept. 1 and close a month earlier at the beginning of March instead of the present end of March.
Another change will may make the condos off limits to anyone other than Bahamian fishermen who make and place the devices. If this change comes into effect, visitors will be required to search for crawfish on reefs and natural crevices.

We split the tails in half, slather with melted butter, lemon or lime, a little bit of paprika, and grill shell side down, for about 10 min. (or longer if large). We close the grill top. Would probably be even better on a charcoal grill. We have a gas grill. Absolutely delish! And then more melted butter for dipping, of course! Side order of home made cole slaw and a baked potato. Decadent.
Hey, just put your toe in and test the waters!

While we love the local lobster, conch and fish, we must say that one of the best seafood lunches we have ever had was in Scotland about a month ago. We were in the village of Mallaig and the skink, pint of prawns, fish and chips, kippers and Newcastle were simply exceptional!

Is that a smoked fish there on the left?
Oh, we had a couple from England ask for fish and chips and they made a special request for vinegar - any kind would do. Not bad, not bad! :)
