Well, senility be damned, Sunday was the third anniversary of the opening of the Abaco Forum, and I forgot it. So, Happy Birthday to us, and a very big Thank You to the over 1300 members who participate and make the Forum a special place.

Happy birthday to this forum. Many many moons ago I had communicated with the powers that be of the "other board" to open up a way of communication for those with some critical observation which would not fit the "other" policy. It was not supposed to be.
When I compare the number of bloggers on this site to other forums, it is evident that this is a more attractive board, not only because everything is so "sugar-coated" but some hard (and sometimes less than desirable) facts are presented.
This board IMHO is of help to decide to go to Abaco or not.
The Abacos do have some unique aspects in their favour. One of them being that it is not that "touristy" (therefore more expensive), and that it is not something for those expecting the highest degree of comfort and accessability. Power problems, traveling problems are still there, but whoever posted here does not want to miss that part of "paradise".
