We know about Nipper's, Bluewater Grill, and the Art Cafe... but what other establishments are there to take note of on Guana? And, if I can ask, what is there location from the settlement? What is not to be missed?
Also, does the Guana grocery store carry large containers of bottled water?
Any notable bakers of key lime pie, baked breads and such?
Thanks,
Patti P.

Don't forget Sunset Beach Bar, a short walk off the ferry dock, to the left and then right. They have a nice menu, which gets bigger and bigger every time we're there, and a full service bar, of course, and several ring toss games, horseshoes, and a pool (last time I was there it was saltwater, it used to be fresh), and a wonderful Pot Luck dinner every Wed. night. Bring a dish and share with neighbors, friends, and other vacationers. A great way to meet other folks and have a great meal! (This is still going on I assume? Pat W. can verify).

The Art Cafe makes wonderful fresh baked goods and breads daily. Not sure specifically about Key Lime, but they do have lots of brownies, and divine Coconut and regular Bahama Bread.

Then there is the Orchid Bay restaurant. I have only eaten there once and it was awhile ago. They had excellent conch chowder at the time.

Don't miss the opportunity to sample some of Miss Love's cuisine. She serves home cooked Bahamian meals right off her front porch, through the front window. Also has been known to have fresh conch salad from time to time. She is just a few houses behind the Art Cafe.

And don't forget to check out Milo's picturesque fruit/veggie stand, right there on the main drag, just before the Ice Cream shoppe. He has remarkable tomatoes and other fresh veggies, and often has fish and lobster available, as well as an array of hand crafted jewelry.

I am not sure what the status of the Ice Cream Shoppe is right now.

Maybe Pat W. could update us on that as well?

You can purchase cases of water, 4 gallons bottles per case. The Gift Shop that sold ice cream closed a few months ago. The grocery store does sell Edy's ice cream, $9.50 a gallon, and they have different types of ice cream like, ice cream sandwiches, etc.
Although the gift shop closed, the laundrymat is still open. There is usually someone to sell tokens starting around 7:00 in the morning.
Yeah, the Pot Luck is still happening on Wednesday nights. Jerry no longer is at Sunset. He was replaced.

I know that Glenn works out there a few nights a week and Big Troy is there during the day but don't know who else. Haven't been there in over a year.

Is Glenn also still bartending at BWG too?

We really enjoy eating at Orchid Bay, the food has always been excellent. The bartender, Berkley, is an old friend we met in Chub Cay many years ago. He is a "traditional" island bartender, he can make an amazing array of tropical drinks.

Did you know that Berkley has a new baby boy??? He must be a year old or close to it now. He looks just like his daddy.
