Looks like a 50 some-odd pound wahoo exactly like you wanted some of, Angie, might be as much as 70 pounds.

That's an 82 lb wahoo ... got it off the drop off near Walkers Cay. The bite was good and there are many there now that the water has cooled down. The stripes in the wahoo are more vivid when the fish comes out of the water.

Gosh you know I would ... my biggest to date is a 55 ... at 82 pounds, what a ride! Wahoo are quite rare much bigger than that, I think.

I guess I'm a poor judge of fish weight from a picture. Next time, get a short, very cute lady to hold up the fish, and I will thusly compensate! :D

I wonder if Crispin is headed down to Lubber's for some weehoo action?

That's a pig! I guess it was a great day.

Read on another forum today the hoo's were going full speed for a boat based in Treasure Cay on the tide swing. Said the bite was "epic".

Hope there are a few still around in February :p

Thanks for sharing.

Yep, Sam, as a matter of fact we are...

The world record, I believe is 184.5 pounds caught by a young lady at the age of 14, I think and if memory serves, in Cabo.

Looks like they caught this one down, as I notice a trolling sinker there in the pic. I know the wahoo have been around our pond the last few weeks or so from clandestine reports....

Alright there's the Yahoe hisself! :D

LOL, the sound of that 5/0 going off when a nice wahoo strikes on a fast troll, about bends the pole straight level with the water!

p.s., I think about 105 is a Bahamian tournament record?
