When will you be in the Abacos next? (BTW, I am fresh out of pics. I posted all mine last week.)

It is....you guessed it...snowing. Right now. 7th consecutive storm.
We leave 5/3/07. Can not even tell you how much we are looking forward to trading the white snow for some white sand! (Sorry guys, I won't mention any more tidbits about the wintery weather this year).

That WAS a windy day! I remember you said it was windy all week. We had one year like that, also in early April. Should be calmer for you this year, in May.

You guys are most welcome! I might even be able to come up with a few more (if I can just finish cleaning the house, yukka!)

Patti, that pic of Rick is on the Green Bananas porch on Lubbers. What a view to wake up to! We just loved it there. We would have stayed there on this upcoming trip, however since we needed (not a typo!) to stay for 2 weeks, we decided to save a bit of money. It's a great place, very charming, and a perfect place for just 2 or a family with a couple of kids. When I was in Abaco in November, I saw that it was for sale. Just $850,000!!!!!!!!

Hey Da Goose I didn't see an problem with the picture of Rick on the front porch of Green Bananas. Clothes - check. Apparently, all the empty bottles and party favors were cleaned up. Narry any stray swimsuits or underwear to be found. What's the deal?

Oh, and that color of blue-green, I tried to replicate it on my porch ceiling and you know, there's no substitute for the real thing. Thanks for the attitude adjustment. /sammie

LOL, you don't EVEN know what was behind me when I took that photo! Probably 4 or 5 empty cases of Kalik Gold (wish there was a drunk smilie face to insert here.)

You should have seen us doing the trash dump in Hopetown with all those bottles/cases. I think next time I'm going to bring the "groucho' big nose w/glasses fake disguise so no one knows it's us with all the empty bottles!

Ken, Rick has the cutest feet ever. Maybe we need to have a contest!

It was a good few hours that day. Four dolphin that totaled 120#s...this one was 42#s and a blast on 30# gear. The wahoo were cooperative as well during the month there.

We fished from as far south as the Hole in the Wall and up to the Bridge.

The thing that struck me was the water temperature on the outside which was in the 82-84 degree range and the quality of the dolphin for this time of year...never seen the like of it in January. The water temperature in the Sound was in the 76-77 degree range.

Sammie, I used to have a female dog named Stanley (don't ask) and she appeared to be a cross between a pit bull and a dachsund. Pit bull body and a dachsund face. My Texas grandmother used to call her "Needle Nose"! That rodeo would also have been a sight!

I beg to differ with you all. I'm guessing ol' Spot is a pure bred Jack Russel. My brother has 2 purebreds and my folks have one and this little guy looks alot like them. BTW, who is his owner and does he usually hang out at Nippers all week or just on Sunday's? It looks like we may not be able to make the pig roast this next trip but we are definitely going to visit during the more laid back days. Would love to visit with Spot.

Spot is a purebreed Jack Russel and is owned by Pat Sands who works at Nippers. There are quite a few Jack's running around Guana but Spot is one of the friendlier ones. He has been know to just jump on your golf cart and go for a ride and then jump back off and go on his way. When Pat is off island, he usually shows up at our door for a visit.

I know I could just look it up, but it might help others to post it here. What is the definition of "pelagic"?

Rock Steady
02-07-2007, 10:23 AM
They are species which are typically mobile and migratory, some, more so than others ie. tuna, dolphin fish, wahoo and marlin.
