My daughter, her husband and brother flew on YAT on Thanksgiving to visit us here on Guana Cay. Their original flight cancelled but moved to earlier flight without a problem. How ever return trip not so good. We tried to call YAT on Sunday to confirm flight, both local numbers not in service at airport, no answer in Lauderdale and no response to message left. Finally got local cell number from Bahamasair counter but also not working. Called Calypso and was put in touch with YAT, agent stated "no propblem " for tomorrow. Arrived at airport at noon on Monday, as of 2:20 PM no plane, gate agent stated he could not get in touch with anyone in Lauderdale so he left airport!! I finally reached Lauderdale and was told no info about plane at this time. When i asked for working number to Marsh airport was given same non working cell number, 458 0644. Plane arrived in Marsh with mechanical problems. Finally left at 7:30 and after very scary flight in the dark and rain with one engine sparking arrived in Lauderdale at 8:45. I know if you choose a non-scheduled airline you take the chance of late flights, and no one can predict mechanical problems but a total lack of communication between customers and Marsh and the gate and Lauderdale is unexcusable. Why does no one ever answer the phone?
